Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in 1992 known for its pop-punk songs that often focus around relationships, adolescent frustrations, and maturity–or the lack of maturity. This isn’t the first time video game fans have crossed over their favorite games with Blink-182 songs, but it may be one of the funniest.

Drummer and streamer Sunfyre recently shared a short, 30-second long video of herself playing the drum portions of Blink-182’s classic song “I Miss You” on TikTok. This might not be particularly surprising, except that she also sings most of the song’s chorus in a screechy Toad voice. At the beginning of the video, she puts on a large hat designed to look like Toad’s mushroom head before picking up her drumsticks and starting to play.
The video picks up at the second verse, which in the original song is sung by Tom DeLonge. It features lyrics describing the singer’s misery and begging to know where someone else is. While the desire to know someone’s location may remind Mario fans of the iconic Princess Peach, the dramatic references to spiderwebs and creeping darkness clash with Toad’s adorable image. However, easily the most memorable part of the video is Sunfyre’s excellent impression of Toad’s voice. The result is as endearing as it is odd to listen to.
As of writing, it appears that other fans of the series are blown away by Sunfyre’s skill and Toad impression. Several comments quoted the lyrics of the Blink-182 song with the emphasis that Sunfyre put on them. Another group of users left compliments on the video, with one even stating that Sunfyre was their favorite content creator and a second calling her the best drummer out there. A third user accused her of sneaking in a video of the original singer, implying that either her Toad version is equal to Tom DeLonge’s original or that Tom DeLonge sounds like Toad from Mario, to begin with.
