However, given the series’ huge roster of characters, a lot of STR Characters might come from teams and factions that players least expect. In fact, some of the game’s best STR Characters might come outside the list of the series’ main characters.
10 Murderous Overlord Boujack
One of the true tests of Gohan as a character is fighting the overlord Boujack, whom he succeeds in defeating in his solo film. However, Dokkan Battle proves Boujack is no pushover. His Cosmic Bomber (Super ATK) is an immense damage-dealer that boosts his ATK and DEF. Not only that, but Cosmic Ruffian (Passive) gives decent boosts when facing multiple enemies at once, and his Transformation (Active) is practically guaranteed in a 1v1 during at least the fourth turn.

Boujack is a great tank and heavy-hitter, with his damage output practically guaranteed due to his transformation’s easy conditions. However, his Links are rather limited, making Full Power Boujack (STR) his best partner, which is a rather low-ranking unit.
9 Tenacious Secret Plan Super Vegeta
It’s not all the time that Vegeta goes all-out in a fight, and when he does, Tenacious Secret Plan Super Vegeta proves just how cunning the Prince of Saiyans can get. His signature Final Flash (Super ATK) not only deals massive damage to enemies, but also transforms his attacks into criticals. Meanwhile, his Fight’s Over! (Passive) boosts his stats both when hitting and getting hit, as well as stunning enemies he hits with his Supers.
This Vegeta iteration serves as a great tank due to its decent toolkit and attack capabilities. Its innate stunning ability makes for a great setup character as well. Unfortunately, players may not be able to make full use of his toolkit as there aren’t a lot of Cell enemies in the meta.
8 Destroyers Of The Universe Team Turles
In his bid to acquire the Fruit from the Tree of Life and destroy the planets where they grow in, this unit is a scary foe to face. Turles’s Calamity Blaster (Super ATK) and Crushing Massacre (Ultra Super ATK) can stun enemies after dealing damage. Meanwhile, Super Comat Group (Passive) can grant bonuses when teaming up with “Terrifying Conquerors” allies.
This Turles iteration is both a decent tank and a heavy-hitter capable of supporting a lot of allies. This is primarily due to his nature as a self-sufficient stunner with decent survivability. Unfortunately, he’s able to only acquire 5 Ki through combat unless facing stunned enemies, meaning completing his toolkit requires more effort than anticipated.
7 Fused Hope Goku & Vegeta (Angel)
In the fight against Majin Buu, Goku and Vegeta need to learn how to fuse to turn the tide of the battle. This is reflected in Fused Hope Goku & Vegeta (Angel), a unit that reflects their potential in Dokkan Battle. Their Cooperation Between Rivals (Super ATK), as well as Vegeta’s Pride & Goku’s Rage (Ultra Super ATK), cause massive damage to an enemy while raising their ATK and DEF. Not only that, but A Common Goal (Passive) can reduce damage received while boosting their chances of attaining an extra attack. Beginning the fourth turn, this unit can undergo Potara Fusion and become Vegito.

This duo can become an excellent tank with heavy-hitting potential, alongside easy-to-meet Transformation guidelines. It’s also one of the very few characters capable of foreseeing Super ATKs, and has the kit available to counter them. Unfortunately, the unit does lack punch once their fusion state ends.
6 Indestructible Saiyan Evil Legendary Super Saiyan Broly
The Legendary Super Saiyan Broly has a reputation of destroying anything he’s set out to annihilate, and the game reflects this through his unit. His toolkit is heavy-damage based, with Gigantic Meteor (Super ATK) dealing damage to all enemies, and Omega Blaster (Ultra Supe ATK) focusing on a single target. Not only that, but Inescapable Horror (Passive) allows Broly to trade his DEF for a massive ATK boost to perform yet another Super ATK against foes.
This card is incredible when it comes to dishing out damage, and his innate AOE makes him a great contender in most game modes. His preference fighting Saiyans and “Goku’s Family” archetypes make this Broly a good addition to any team, since these archetypes are pretty common. Unfortunately, this unit Links best with Saiyan units only, making him rather demanding in terms of team-ups.
5 Battle With One’s Limit Goku (Kaioken)
Prior to his discovery of his lineage, Goku has always relied on Kaioken as his signature table-turning technique. This is reflected in this Goku unit, which in itself boasts a great tanking toolkit that has decent damage potential. His Kaioken Attack (Super ATK) and 4x Kaioken Kamehameha (Ultra Super ATK) deal massive damage to a target while boosting Goku’s ATK and DEF.
Stats-wise, this Goku iteration is a great team member simply due to the fact that a lot of Vegeta characters are popular in the meta, making its toolkit quite a useful counter against them. However, this version of Goku does lack enough DEF to boast efficient survivability.
4 Transcendent Light-Speed Battle Erupts Hit & Super Saiyan God Goku
The fight between Hit and Goku is perhaps one of the most intense scenes in Dragon Ball Super. As such, it makes sense that their team-up via this unit is a force to reckon with. Their Goku And Hit’s United Front (Super) and Transcendent Light-Speed Goku (Ultra Super ATK) can not only boost their ATK and DEF, but also stun enemies. Additionally, Advantage Of Light-Speed (Passive) can debilitate enemy defenses while boosting the stats of the team.

This duo makes for a great tank and heavy-hitter on most teams, and their innate stun makes them great for set-ups as well. Unfortunately, their lack of Links make them rather mediocre in this department, and their demanding Active Skill is tricky to maximize.
3 Warriors Entrusted With Earth’s Fate Super Saiyan Goku/Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth)
To cap off the finishing blow against Cell, Goku and Gohan unite for a vicious Kamehameha. This moment is reflected in their fused unit in Dokkan Battle. Their Instant Transmission Kamehameha (Super ATK) not only deals massive damage to enemies but also stuns them. Meanwhile, Goku Goes Full Throttle (Passive) can give this unit a way to dodge an enemy’s own Super if they use the Instant Transmission Kamehameha in the same turn.
Super Saiyan Goku/Super Saiyan Gohan is an absolute tank of a unit that boasts both powerful attacks and stun potential. Not to mention, the permanent guard buff from Gohan can have this unit resist damage as often as possible. Perhaps the only setback from their kit is the seventh-turn limitation of the Active Skill, and the reliance on evasion to trigger boosts.
2 Majin Of Destruction Buu (Kid)
Befitting the role of the last villain of the Dragon Ball Z anime, Majin Of Destruction Buu (Kid) is a pure force of destruction. Such is his horrifying power that Elimination Burst (Super ATK) not only causes immense damage but may also stun opponents. Moreover, Eternal Cataclysm (Passive) can give him extra attacks that can evolve into supers.
Fitting the role of the ultimate villain, this Buu iteration isn’t just a powerful tank and heavy hitter. His toolkit allows him to become an effective healer and decent stunner as well, making him excellent for various setups. Unfortunately, he lacks reliability in most of his powerful attacks, as they require specific enemies to be extremely effective.
1 Unrivaled Saiyan’s Peak Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta
Prior to Dragon Ball Super, it’s perhaps Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta that serves as the character’s ultimate form. And in Dokkan Battle, the unit that represents this form of Vegeta is perhaps the best Super ATK character around for his efficient toolkit. His Spirit Break Cannon (Super ATK) and Final Flash (Ultra Super ATK) give massive boosts to Vegeta’s attack before dishing out devastating damage to enemies. Meanwhile, This Isn’t The End (Passive) gives him a chance to dodge and counter an enemy’s attack.
This Vegeta iteration is one of the best tanks in the game, capable of both protecting his allies and dishing out heavy damage. In addition to boasting quite an expansive Link list, he’s capable of using Saiyan Roar to maximize his potential with SSJ4 Goku.
